As well as helping young people get into volunteering with other organisations, we can also give you training and support to start up your own community projects – including finding the funding to make your dream a reality!
Your project could be anything from revamping a local play area, to starting up a youth club, to holding a music festival, or raising awareness of issues ranging from bullying to road safety to drug and alcohol abuse! Whatever you’re passionate about, get in touch and tell us about it: it’s easier than you think to change your community and we can help and guide you every step of the way.
Whatever kind of volunteering you get involved in, you can gain official recognition for your work through our award scheme:
v Thank You Award: If you do up to 8 hours of volunteering on a one off project or event then you can receive one of our Thank You certificates.
v50 Award (50 hours volunteer work): If you would like to volunteer regularly about 1 – 2 hours a week, and log your hours, you could receive one of our v50 certificates.
Impact Award: This is for a further 100 hours of volunteering and involves developing a portfolio of evidence to showcase your work
These certificates are recognised nationally by employers and by UCAS – they look pretty good on a wall, too!
TrainingWe also provide lots of different kinds of training to develop your skills and qualifications. For more details click here to visit our training pages.
