Young People

The Prince’s Trust Team Programme is managed and delivered by Watford & District YMCA in Hertfordshire and Luton and we have successfully held this contract for over 10 years. It has been instrumental in moving the lives forward of many disadvantaged young people enabling them to return to employment, education or further training.


The Prince’s Trust Team Programme is a 12-week personal development programme that is delivered by Watford YMCA in various centres in Hertfordshire and Luton.

The programme is open to young people aged between 16-25 and aims to build confidence, self-esteem and motivation. The programme consists of induction, a residential experience, community project and Team challenge, CV writing and interview techniques, work placements, fire safety activities, fund raising and budgeting, practical experiences. It leads to a level 1 City & Guilds qualification in Personal Development and Contributing to the Community, plus other certificates.
